Pembrokeshire has plenty to offer, whether you want to walk the 186 miles of coastal path which offers spectacular scenery or just enjoy the beaches with your buckets and spades!

Myrtle House is an ideal base for you to explore Pembrokeshire with its many castles to visit which are within easy motoring distance of Tenby. Try visiting Manorbier Castle, Pembroke Castle and Picton Castle with 40-acres of woodlands and walled garden, to name but a few and all set in the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Indeed Pembrokeshire is becoming quite famous with its stunning beaches and coastline for the film industry with the latest Harry Potter and Robin Hood movies being filmed here.

Tenby Museum and Art Gallery is a “must see” also the Tudor Merchants House you can also enjoy Guided Walks and Ghost Walks which are available all year.

The area boasts many theme parks to entertain the family such as Anna Ryder Richardsons “Manor House Wildlife Park”, our very own Wild Welsh Zoo, Folly Farm. And for thrill seekers, Oakwood Theme Park with its awesome rides Oakwood. For the children The Dinosaur Park and Tenbys Silent World (video here). There are many more listed here most are within 10 minutes of Tenby.

For dad there are two nearby golf clubs Tenby Links Course and Trefloyne Manor.

This part of Wales has a fascinating Norman history and where better to see it come to life than a visit to one of its many castles. Manorbier and Pembroke are especially impressive.

Other activities include bowling, tennis, horse-riding, sailing, scuba diving, wind-surfing, parascending, coasteering, bird watching, sea-cruises and fishing trips. If you catch any fish bring them back to the hotel and Jan will be only too pleased to prepare and freeze them for you to take home.

There are many beautiful gardens to visit. Colby Woodland Gardens and the National Botanic Garden of Wales at Llanarthne which features the world’s largest single span glass structure to name but two.

The small walled town of Tenby boasts a superb harbour and beaches as well as a fascinating history. Nearby Saundersfoot provides easy access to the spectacular coastline of Pembrokeshire.

There are large sandy beaches and a harbour in the village so it is easy to relax or enjoy watersports or fishing. Boat trips are run from both harbours for fishing and viewing the marine wildlife and coastline. If you catch any fish bring them back to the hotel and Jan will be only too pleased to prepare and freeze them for you to take home.

We are on a very good bus route and Tenby train station is within half a mile of us. Detailed directions by road are sent to you when we confirm your booking with us and a map is available on the left hand side of our of our website. Should you be arriving by coach or train as long as we know the arrival times it would be our pleasure to arrange for you to be picked up and taken back for your onward journey.
